Vandal:
Sam Vandal has been part of the Raygun family for 6 years now. A love of Andy Weatherall, Orbital and Underworld has brought us a electro fuelled breakbeat talent unrivalled. Awesome releases like Deliverin The Goods, The Seeker and Bodywave have been massive breakbeat hits. Vandal is currently very busy working with Jean Jacques Smoothie on a new project, working with Cass (of Cass & Slide) to finish his album and DJing his filthy, booty shakin breaks up and down the country.
Stabilizer:
Stabilizer has produced one of the greatest Dance albums this decade and we are honoured to have it on Plastic Raygun. Tunes like Nitzer, What it Takes and Bounce (Feat MC Chickaboo) have all gone to top the various breakbeat charts. Mr Stabilizer is currently tucked away at home raising a family but we hope to hear more from him later this year. In the meantime get yourselves a copy of his wonderful album.
Phantom Beats:
Plastic Raygun’s favourite son’s and the very first artist ever released by us they have a special place in our hearts. They have been residents at the legendary Heavenly Jukebox, featured on BBC Radio 1 numerous times, have released tons of records, done tons of remixes and are probably 2 of the most likeable and liked chaps in breakbeat. Their tough, funky sound has been a massive global success and their DJ diary is always very full and very exotic.
Jean Jacques Smoothie / Steve Raygun:
Mr Smoothie aka Steve Raygun is our very own popstar. You may remember him from such twinkly house hits as “2People” of which we are all very proud. When not busy running Plastic Raygun records Steve is currently working on a fully fledged Jean Jacques Smoothie album and an exciting new project with Vandal.
Dynamo Dresden:
Hailed as the new gods of lounge core by BBC Radio 1, Dynamo Dresden are a Welshman, a Englishman and an American. The inspiring and haunting vocals of Tara Busch coupled with the studio skills of Matthew Lewis and Rohan Tarry make this a band to touch the soul. Their debut album “Remember” is out now and should not be missed.
